Adele is 1 month old! It also marks the end of my confinement, finally!Really calls for a celebration. A full day of celebration it shall be… lunch and dinner buffet. 2 sets of new baby clothing are prepared for that day.
On 18 Apr 09, to celebrate her 1st full month, a simple ceremony is held. In the morning, Adele put on the new clothes after her bath. Then, we brought her to my in-laws place. Adele’s First Hair Cut. Who do it? Mummy will do it! No, not shaving the entire head. Just trim a little bit of her hair to symbolise the shedding of the birth hair (hair from the womb). The hair is kept in a red packet. After that, Adele prayed to the ancestors. Ceremony over!
During the lunch and dinner, proud daddy & mummy introduced their “latest addition” to the relatives.
